SAN FRANCISCO, November 10, 2017Spin, the nation’s leading dockless bikeshare company, announced today urban innovation and transportation pioneer Kyle Rowe, a noted policy leader in the stationless bikeshare and urban planning industry, has joined the company. In his new role on the Government Partnerships team, he will foster productive partnerships with local governments to bring Spin’s innovative dockless system to as many cities as possible.

Rowe comes to Spin from the Seattle Department of Transportation where he successfully designed and implemented the nation’s first stationless bikeshare permit, providing a model for the adoption of dockless bikeshare across the United States and the world. He was also on the project team that created Seattle’s New Mobility Playbook, Seattle’s forward-thinking approach to working with disruptive mobility options. Prior to that, Rowe spent four years implementing innovative bicycle safety initiatives in Seattle, including the Bicycle Master Plan, numerous Complete Streets corridor projects, and designing Seattle’s first bicycle leaning rails.

“Kyle is a true visionary in the field of urban innovation and wrote the playbook on ways local governments and private companies can work productively and collaboratively together for the greater good,” said Spin CEO, Derrick Ko. “His pioneering approach to stationless bikeshare permitting in Seattle has inspired hundreds of cities nationwide to follow suit for the benefits of residents. I’m excited to work with him at Spin.”

Following the company’s $8M Series A funding round in May and subsequent July launch, Spin has deployed innovative stationless bikeshare systems in 14 markets in the US, including Seattle, Dallas, South San Francisco, Mountain View, Aurora, CO, Washington, D.C, and Charlotte. With thousands of bikes on the ground, Spin is in talks with over 100 cities around the country to introduce their solar-powered, GPS-enabled, smart dockless bikeshare systems locally.

“I’m incredibly proud to join Spin in its mission to provide a convenient, affordable, and environmentally-friendly mode of last-mile transportation in urban communities everywhere. Spin is disrupting the bikeshare industry for Americans in a way that helps smart cities and its inhabitants.” said Rowe. “What attracted me to Spin is their dedication to innovation, smart cities and community. The team here truly places importance on partnering with local officials and becoming an integral part of each community they launch in.”

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
