The company will deploy 50 electric bicycles on the UCBO campus in Kelowna marking Spin’s first international campus partnership focused on shared e-bikes

Spin, the micromobility unit of Ford Motor Company, today announced that it has been selected to operate an electric bikeshare program on a Canadian university campus. The company will launch 50 S-300 e-bikes this February at the University of British Columbia - Okanagan (UBCO) campus in Kelowna. Spin will be the exclusive provider of a shared micromobility program to over 10,000 UBCO students, faculty and staff.

This campus partnership builds upon Spin’s first international e-bike partnership with the City of Kelowna, which launched last November. Spin will increase its initial fleet of 100 electric bicycles to 150 in Kelowna in preparation for UBCO students returning to on-campus learning. Spin is working closely with key stakeholders from the community and University to offer free helmets to riders along with educational programming to promote safe and responsible riding.

“This is an exciting time for Spin as we build out our partnerships in Canada,” said Ashley Brown, Head of Government Partnerships. “As the sole vendor in Kelowna and on UBCO’s campus, we can together create a more robust and sustainable program that meets the University’s transportation vision. We are thrilled to bring S-300 to UBCO, providing more eco-friendly transportation options to the community and bringing our latest innovations to Canada.”

Director of Campus Planning for UBC Okanagan, Ben Johnson commented, “UBC Okanagan is excited to welcome SPIN’s shared e-bikes to campus, introducing a new healthy and sustainable travel option for the campus community.”

○ An innovative wireless-charging holder allows riders to navigate while keeping their smartphones charged.

“With the launch of our e-bike fleet at UBCO, we are establishing ourselves as a strategic and operational partner to Canadian cities and universities. This move helps realize a shared vision for multimodal transportation,'' said Khalid Abdul Razak, General Manager of Canada. “We are committed to working together and learning with cities, campuses, and community partners to establish best-in-class micromobility programs.”

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
