Safe Streets

Join Spin in Seattle, Atlanta, and Barcelona on Sept 17 for Park(ing) Day!

A cartoon rendering of a streetscape with a parklet in a parking space. The words Parking Day are written on the sidewalk.

Last month, we announced that we’d be granting 30 organizations around the world $1,000 each to repurpose parking spaces into parklets and other people-oriented uses to celebrate Park(ing) Day. We’re excited to announce that we will also have our own Park(ing) Day installations on September 17.

Spin will be taking over parking spots in three cities: Atlanta, Seattle, and Barcelona. Take a look below for more information! And please come out to join us or our grantees if you’re in any of the cities represented.

Check out the map and list below to see where our grantees will also put up Park(ing) Day installations.

 What is Park(ing) Day?

Park(ing) Day is a global, public, participatory art project launched by Rebar in 2005. It is a day where people across the world temporarily repurpose street parking spaces and convert them to tiny parks and places for art, play, and activism. We’re excited to partner with Park(ing) Day and Better Block Foundation this year to support these organizations create their own Park(ing) Day installations.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
